Essons Valley the drive up to our house with the guest accomodation

You will be staying as a guest at our house in your large comfortable room with a luxurious crisp sheeted King size double bed and a double sofa/bed. You have your own bathroom with sink, shower and toilet and your own coffee and tea making facilities,  a fridge, and outside a BBQ and seating area. There is also a large wooden hot tub / spa outside in which you can relax in after your walks or swims  and enjoy watching the bright stars at night in luxurious hot bubbly water.

If you need a baby sitter to enjoy a carefree night out we can arrange this too.

We have ample safe parking for your car near your accommodation. We can also wash and dry your clothes for you. You can have a continental style breakfast with a choice of cereals and toast or go for an English breakfast with the works in the best of fry-up tradition with fresh eggs from our free range hens.

If you happen to be underway with horses you can graze them here during your stay.

You have unique access to our grounds and we can show you the best of what Picton has to offer, there are several walkways/ tracks to choose from starting right in front of our house or abundant wilderness behind us for the more adventurous and fit. You can also choose to discover some of the creeks and waterfalls in the valley and be the only one enjoying this for miles around.

We operate a professional Scuba diving and Seal swimming/snorkeling boat and can take you out into the Marlborough Sounds for a great day out with a picnic on a lovely beach and supply you with wetsuits and all other equipment you may need.

With so much to do, we do not need a TV so you will not find one in your room, you can watch a DVD if you like, but if you have the energy after a full days action you can have a bush walk in the dark to find possums, glow worms and other night creatures. Or go out and meet local people in one of the colorful local pubs who are happy to chat.

If you like to have a true Kiwi experience and a taste of what real New Zealand is like than come and stay with us.

And if you are a member of the emergency services, or come and have a day out with us we show our appreciation with a discounted stay!

Apart from English we speak Dutch, German and some French.
